Your journey begins directly from your Southampton cruise terminal, where you'll embark on a seamless transfer to London, enriched by two of England's most iconic landmarks. We'll first traverse the ancient, verdant landscapes of the New Forest, a region steeped in history and natural beauty, setting the stage for the day's exploration.

Guest in front of the stones.

Stonehenge

Our first destination is the enigmatic Stonehenge, a World Heritage site that continues to fascinate and mystify. Here, you'll delve into the Neolithic mysteries and Bronze Age history of this remarkable monument.

Stonehenge is a famous prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, featuring a ring of massive standing stones built between about 3000 and 1600 BC. Made of large local sarsens and smaller bluestones brought from Wales, its original purpose is uncertain, possibly ceremonial or astronomical. This iconic UK landmark is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Straw roof Bronze Age huts.

The Visitor Centre provides an immersive experience, allowing you to visualise the stone circle's evolution through the ages. Discover locally unearthed artefacts, including the tools used in its construction, and learn about the theories surrounding its purpose, from marking solstices to lunar observations. Outside, witness reconstructions of Bronze Age huts, offering a glimpse into the lives of those who shaped this ancient landscape.

We'll also pause to appreciate nearby archaeological treasures like Durrington Walls, a colossal earthen ring, and Woodhenge, where once stood a circle of timber posts, further illuminating the vibrant Neolithic community that once thrived here.

Windsor

Continuing our journey, we traverse the royal domain of Windsor Great Park, a sprawling expanse of ancient oak forests and picturesque landscapes. This journey through the King’s private land, is steeped in history and folklore, and you may even hear tales of a mysterious spirit said to haunt the park’s depths.

Ornate gilded Gothic interior with stained glass windows.

Our destination is Windsor Castle, the world's largest occupied castle, a testament to centuries of royal heritage. Upon arrival, we'll take a drive around the castle to appreciate its grandeur from all angles. Inside, you'll immerse yourself in the opulent State Apartments, marvel at the intricate craftsmanship of Queen Mary's Dolls' House, and gaze upon the vast expanse of the Long Walk. A highlight of the visit is St. George's Chapel, a masterpiece of late Gothic architecture and the final resting place of numerous monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II.

Drop off in London

Finally, we'll conclude your tour with a relaxing and comfortable transfer to your Central London hotel or accommodation. Our route will take us through the historic landscapes of Surrey, offering scenic views, and through London's vibrant suburbs, including Twickenham, the home of English rugby, and Richmond, a former royal residence nestled along the River Thames.

Our customers say...
"My husband and I brought our 12 year old grandson to London for a surprise trip. We booked a drive to Oxford & the Cotswolds with Albion Touring prior to our arrival. On the day of departure our driver Chris (also Albion’s owner!) arrived spot on time. From the minute we left the doorstep of our flat Chris narrated our drive and brought the history of London from Roman times alive for all of us but especially for our grandson. In Oxford Chris took us thru the city telling us some of the most interesting tales. He engaged our grandson on his level and was constantly asking after our comfort. We saw several villages in the Cotswolds and upon learning that we were cheese lovers to us to his favorite cheese shop. I needed supplies from the local pharmacy and he carried those for me in the village and even ran them back to the vehicle. He went out of his way to take us to the The Kings Men Circle of Stones. A smaller Stonehenge with fabulous legends and we loved it. If you are considering booking a drive with Albion don’t hesitate. I would do this again and again! "

"That man is a GEM – don't let him go away. During our week long stay we spent time with a handful of guides – London Walks, three EF guides, a Blue Badge and several others, but I will state with utmost certainty that not one of them was as genuinely interested and willing to make our day perfect as Chris. He set us at ease straight away with his warmth and down-to-earth personality and proceeded to entertain and enthral us with tales and trivia the whole day through. He asked just enough questions to get an idea of our interests and then managed to please everyone. What a perfect way for us to spend our last day in England...thank you for assigning him to our group...please, please give Chris a gigantic thank-you from us all."
